During the early days, kindergarten can be quite overwhelming for a young child. Please take some time to read the attached Handbook and talk through some of the topics with your child, such as what to take for a snack, what shoes are appropriate for play at kinder and the need for a sunhat and sunscreen throughout Terms 1 and 4. Your child will feel much more confident and in control if they are aware of what is expected of them and are doing the same as their peers. A few guide lines to assist settling your child in at the start of kinder and throughout the year are:
- Please come into the kinder room and make sure your child is settled
- Tell your child who will be picking them up at the end of the session
- Once you have told your child that you are leaving, do so promptly as this will help them better settle in.

At our kindergarten we regularly hold social events. Some of these include a Welcome BBQ, a Winter Solstice, a Children's Art Exhibition and an end of year function.
Each group also has a parent representative that organises informal social events for the group, such as:
- Morning tea's for parents
- Dinner's for parents
- Play's in the park
Each term families can look forward to a fabulous get together at the kindergarten.
